Hardcode the DNS for social media to 127.0.0.1 on the router lmao. Nothing to lose.

$2.99 for the first 190 interactions, $9.99 for 1000

This garbage gets signed and SB 868 for plug in solar is still not signed. Tired of this AI BS taking time and resources away.
SB 868 sitting there for weeks: 2026-08-31: Enrolled and presented to the Governor at 6 p.m.

I thought zerossl used let’s encrypt behind the scenes (for their free certs at least).
Edit: they don’t mention that on their website, perhaps they don’t.

They are extremely expensive for what they offer nowadays, at least if you live anywhere in California, Arizona, New Mexico or Texas. I’m assuming New York, Oregon, Seattle and any other states with local Mexican restaurants as well.

Meta and some other big tech names wrote it iirc

YouTube on Firefox was very crappy on Linux (bazzite). I had to disable hardware acceleration a few years ago to have videos properly render colors. I just remembered recently since I reinstalled my browser and the problem came back. Any chance you might have disabled that at some point as well on your Mac for some reason ?

Probably just as long lasting as your typical American car with innovative ideas like a wet belt system (known bad design seen as planned obsolescence by any mechanic with more than 0 days of experience).

And you don’t have to login to view stuff.
Unfortunately it seems to be mostly for older DSLR cameras, mine is a newer entry level mirrorless. The project does seem pretty awesome though.
Canon cameras are the same for GPS data. Their app sucks and is barely functional that I don’t bother. Half of the time it would fail to connect or fail to transfer pictures from the camera to the phone. A USB-C to SD card adapter is 100% reliable. I hate technology sometimes.

To further simplify.
For step 1+2 , the router might have a built in DNS resolver which would eliminate the need to maintain another container or service.
For step 5, depending in the router software, with a single target (e.g. a nas running docker services) you might also be able to add a wildcard rule to catch any query for *.local.domain.com to resolve to that machine. This would simplify adding things in the future as the only thing remaining would be the caddy config.

How much a home is worth is irrelevant as long as you need a place to live. Where is he going to live if he sells it?

Jellyfin works well enough with swiftfin, but does have some annoyances e.g. subtitle and audio track support is tied to the player configured (native vs other).
It’s the more reliable client app I’ve experienced as long as you stick to 1080p though. 4k is a hit or miss, but that could be my network or server (although I do direct play when possible, but it still has the occasional issues).

Depends on the cloud.

Do they count us as active users when we open the google home app and have to dismiss their annoying purple glowing thing? It would be nice if they could specify what qualifies someone as active. We were already tired of relying on the “cloud” and replacing a product you already had seemed wasteful to integrate into home assistant better, but its more tempting each day.

Or some “tengen toppa gurren lagann” anime made it into the training data 😆
There is a whole thing about “spiral” individuals (which humans are part of) vs anti-spirals.

That is no excuse for the manufacturer not being on the hook for selling garbage, it pushes the work of QA to the consumer.
Only very large fines will end this endless streak of shit appliances. The only silver lining is that these products are targeted at people with more money to sue them.
