Sorry. I meant half a decade. You are correct.

If you wait for a deal to January, you can probably get a Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus for under $700.
If you want to really save money, you can get an S24 and it will still have half a year of upgrades.

I’ll try this too. Thank you.

Will do. Thanks for the suggestion.

I’ve been having issues with NewPipe. After the second or third video YouTube stopped allowing my device from accessing YouTube through NewPipe. No RSS, no videos.

I don’t know how true this is but I read on reddit that when Russia’s internet went down, r/conservative activity decreased by 75%.
Is it possible to ban a user across all of Lemmy?

Evaluations of everything is crazy. Net worth of celebrities with make up lines in particular is crazy. Look how many celebs are worth a billion dollars. To be worth that much, they should be selling at least $50 millions a year of product with no prediction of winding down.

All those tech CEOs met up with Trump makes me think this is a major reason for pouring money in to this technology. Any time Trump says “fake news”, he can just say it is AI.

Thanks for confirming. Felt like I was doing too much work to get it to not work.

I’m going to try this. For what ever reason I can’t use music files for Jellyfin and I basically gave up on it.

Thank you for the info. Sorry you got ripped off. Hopefully you can get you credit card to reverse transaction.

Every museum I went to allowed photography with flash turned off.
This included every major museum in NYC, the Lourve in Paris, and Picasso’s Museum in Barcelona.

Besides the Mig devices, Nintendo also claimed that Daly sold pirated games and hacked consoles to customers.
Is this true or is this something just added by Nintendo just in case Daly chose to settle, Nintendo has an excuse for their PR department?

Also if you are sending my family a copy, send it to my email address too. Thanks.

Maybe the AI doomers are right.

From the article:
In fact, the company has just begun field testing one application at partner Mazda’s Hiroshima plant.
I wanted to see what their partnership was like so I checked on Wikipedia:
In the past and present, Mazda has been engaged in alliances with other automakers. From 1974 until the late 2000s, Ford was a major shareholder of Mazda. Other partnerships include Toyota, Nissan, Isuzu, Suzuki and Kia.
Wow. I didn’t really expect Mazda to be involved with 6 other car manufacturers.

I delete my first comment because I specified what I meant in my reply.
If you don’t think doomers existed after the year 2000 then look up “2000 anxiety” and “2000 paranoia”.
But if I was really going to double down this would by my response:
Many countries invested little to no money in Y2K and they were fine.
Countries such as South Korea, Italy, and Russia invested little to nothing in Y2K remediation, yet had the same negligible Y2K problems as countries that spent enormous sums of money. Western countries anticipated such severe problems in Russia that many issued travel advisories and evacuated non-essential staff.
International Data Corporation estimated that the US might have wasted $40 billion.
Then I would ask you:
Since you are such an expert on Y2K, what would’ve happened if the US took the same approach? What exactly would have happened?

Thank you for the info. The 70’s is what I thought.
This is sickening. Restricting access should be done at the ISP level and should be opt-in for those with kids. A password can be set by the parent.
We all really know this is about control.
