I loved that game and I love the setting and art, but it’s soooo much reading. And I love reading, I really do! But it began to wear me down near the end.

The problem is that it’s probably going to be hard to play without the internet to look things up
Most games today are cross platform and sell substantially more copies that old console games. Mega Man 3 for example sold just over 1 million copies and was a great success. GTA V, crossplatform AAA, sold almost a quarter of a billion copies.
How is US tech going to do without European money? It’s a two-way street. Things like GDPR, USB-C charging everywhere and other regulations have shown that the EU has plenty of influence.
Gemini was automatically installed for me, and the app connections were all enabled, like the article describes. Better check and be safe than to be sorry
Why wait? Why not switch now?
Aside from the suicide, what 13 year old still plays with barbies? These things will absolutely be given to kids much, much younger.
Isn’t thousands of hours enough for many cameras?
Orphaned IPs as well. If you have an IPv4 from your cloud provider and you want to retire it, you should thoroughly scrub your DNS and all other configs before doing so. Otherwise it’s trivial for someone else to spin up a machine on that IP address and abuse your domain.
It’s a beautiful game, but I really, really hate how you have to backtrack and kill your ghost after every death.
Yeah, today’s 4chan is very tame and mainstream compared to a decade ago
I’ve been playing Foundry on a shared world with a friend. It pretty fun! Our factory is a giant spaghetti mess that barely works though.
I’ve also been playing Elite Dangerous. I bought a cheap second hand X52 hotas and I set up head tracking using my webcam and OpenTrack. It’s a fun way to fly!

I think it’s called “Fire and motion”
No, it sucks. The Linux app does not support screen sharing on Wayland, but it works fine in the browser
Days Gone is well designed and balanced. The map isn’t overly large. If you just follow the quests you pretty much go everywhere anyway. I highly recommend you just give it a go. It’s a great game!
Holding on to your goals is hard when you owe loan sharks half a billion dollars and they want their payday
Enshittification is not driven by the founders (mostly, fuck Zuckerberg). It’s driven by greedy investors who want their billion dollar unicorn payout and who who will risk a hundred company failures to get it.
A lot of tech companies that manage to resist outside investors are doing just fine.
I’d wager that a lot of these could be profitable, just not profitable enough. Investors don’t want solid slow and steady business. They want billion dollar unicorns.
It’s worse. As long as any parent or holding company is incorporated in the US, they are subject to secret FISA court orders. It doesn’t matter where the data or keys are located. FISA can compel the company to hand it over.
