49·23 days agoUkraine is doing that. They have anti-drone drones called Sting
No emp because when it comes to drone warfare cost effectiveness is imperative. No use using a multi thousand dollar drone to down one that is a fraction of that cost.
Russia is pretty much doing the same as well. I just watched a video this past week of a drone of theirs skewering a Ukrainian reconnaissance drone with metal rods until the recon drone caught fire and crashed. The Ukraine war is definitely the cutting edge for drone combat.

13·3 months agoIt’s not like it was a press release, it was gleaned from a court document. I suppose they could be happy with what info they got off of it enough to let this prosecution fail if they can follow up the chain, but I’m still skeptical. Who knows, maybe they have a functional quantum computer they don’t want to advertise

2841·3 months agoThis news sparks joy. It’s a shame the FBI is wasting their time on petty political bullshit like this instead of going after real crime. What a shameful chapter for the FBI, and that’s really saying something given their illustrious history.

Technology@lemmy.world•CEO of Palantir Says AI Means You’ll Have to Work With Your Hands Like a PeasantEnglish
5·3 months agoAlex needs more people working with their hands. You know, stuff like tilling land, then planting Coca seeds. Follow that up with nurturing said plants until they can be harvested and then he’d like you to use your hands to help process those leaves into sweet sweet Colombian bam bam. From there he’d ask you to use your legs to help transport that magical white nectar to wherever it is that he is currently located so he can deposit it directly up his nose. This is an essential process to delivering value to shareholders interested in trading in subjugation and death.

22·3 months agoDefinitely possible and even likely for at least some of them, but I would bet money a good deal of it is just hubris. A ton of these people give off the vibe that they earnestly believe they can do no wrong and know better than the “so called experts” because they’re so great and brilliant and strong. Anyone that tries to pierce that bubble is just a “jealous loser”.
What’s the maximum time you can set it off for?
