My personal setup for 4 rooms worth of speakers is a rpi with a Hifiberry hat running debian with Mopidy. I use the Iris plugin for a front end and i mount my music directory via cifs on each pi

INVIDIOUS_DOMAIN and INVIDIOUS_EXTERNAL_PORT instead. Works great for docker
I got with Ancient Egyptian Deities for everything. (See: my username).

Osiris@lemmy.worldto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Open source alternatives to cloudron.io?English2·1 year agoCosmos is my favorite. Its a bit newer, but it gets in my way less than Casa or Umbrel
Thanks for this write up! I was looking for something to replace volumio/hifiberryos and mopidy with Iris is a great combo. I couldn’t get the subsonic plugin working too well (the plugin seems a big half baked and the maintainer doesn’t used anymore), but the local plugin works fine over smb.

ProjectIvy is a great launcher if anyone needs it
Osiris@lemmy.worldto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•What's your favorite note-taking application?English2·1 year ago+1 for memos. I use MoeMenos on android. I don’t need too many features in a memos app so it’s perfect for me
I’ve had a 218+ since 2017. The only reason I might upgrade is to have space for more drives. Im way more of a data hoarder than I used to be
Cosmos, I figured it out tho. The guide I was following to install it used a docker compose template that had some problems with it
I really like the idea of cosmos. My first go with it resulted in the app crashing every 10 seconds after I installed Jellyfin. Ill have to give it another go
Fwiw - I have both an LG C2 and a newer Samsung QLED. Neither have ever been connected to the internet, never pester me to connect, and the both turn on right to to my Apple TV
