It’s entirely possible to use, enjoy, and benefit from Linux while also using proprietary software. Your attitude only hurts the reputation and adoption of Linux by perpetuating the notion that you’re either all-in or else you’re out. Your idea of “Linux the lifestyle” is a fantasy.

1·2 years agoMakes sense. AAVE is mostly a spoken thing, LLMs are mostly trained on the corpus of written text on the internet and in books. It’s pretty rare for people to write in an AAVE style in those contexts.

Buy a small PC, get one of those keyboard and trackpad things that is the form factor of a TV remote. It’s more expensive but nobody can deprecate it from you and you can stream anything you could stream to a web browser or torrent onto a hard drive. I did it earlier this year and regret not doing it sooner.
I’m guessing what that means is that a sponsor will pay that sort of rate for a sponsored post from an “influencer”. Because yeah, otherwise that sounds crazy

12·2 years agoThat’s a great observation. They’ve put a lot of resources into their OTA update system. They could abuse that for lots of other things like distributed computing if it were profitable for them to do so, even if it introduces additional risk for their drivers.

You’re making the same assumption many others in this thread do that “AI company” and “car company” are non-overlapping circles on a Venn diagram. In my view this is as ludicrous as saying that “Apple is a phone company, not a software company”
I just assume all creators of things I enjoy will eventually be proven to be sex pests. It makes it much easier to justify piracy morally to myself. (/j)
