Unraid is easy to start with when you have no idea what you’re doing. Other stuff often requires more up front work to setup.
The paid licence is just the cost of the conveniences.

Yeah my Bluetooth chipset isn’t supported by the drivers. It connects but isn’t detected properly. I’ll grab a dongle in future
Me too? I just switched a few days ago and I’m shocked how easy things have been.
Aside from some generic brand hardware I’ve got, most stuff just works. Main issue is not being able to use my Xbox controller wirelessly at the moment.
Get a bigger drive. Swapping them out on modern laptops is often quite easy. Grab a copy of the manual or search for videos if you want to know more. Replacement 1tb nvme drives can be quite cheap these days, 2tb ones aren’t especially price prohibitive either.

I’ve tried and failed with authelia a few times. Be interested in seeing how others have it configured, if you could link the tutorial you used too that’d be awesome. Maybe I’ll have luck this time

I always thought console exclusivity was a wasted opportunity for more sales. Especially when it comes to selling a PC version.

No doubt, money.

They got what everyone wants, and they want to make sure everyone remembers that. No doubt prices will raise due to interrupted supply. China will probably benefit when they resume trade with selected countries

Test releases in different qualities too. 4k is nice, but often it’s overkill. 1080p or 720p most stuff depending how much I care. Sometimes aiming for smaller encodes by a different group, see what works for you.

When it’s only one or two a month it’s manageable, but now everything worth accessing is split over a dozen services. I gave the legal option a go and it became excessively expensive, so back to piracy. Both cheaper and more convenient.

I feel more and more justified about piracy every article I read about licensing and stuff just getting taken away after having paid good money for stuff

Only if they buy the argument that it’s too difficult to explain what the hidden charges are for so they shouldn’t have to.

It’s super satisfying try set it up and watch it all just work once you get it going

If you’re gonna use the arrs use sonarr. You can add shows, have it search for episodes as they come out integrating with jackett or prowlarr to find torrents and send to deluge or qbittorrent for downloads.
Sonarr can be set with preferred naming styles and rename things as they are added.

I’m not saying they’re in the right, but once you put stuff on the internet it’s near impossible to stop people doing what they want with it
Stupid question, but you’re entering the servers_ipaddress:8070
When trying to access from a computer other than the server, Correct?
Pretty sure it needs at least one port forwarded to make use of plex remotely

They had a free week recently. But it ended up taking almost the entire week to actually successfully install and launch it. So I played it for maybe 5min

Yeah this is one of those things where you don’t have to like the guy to want to take advantage of the tech. Elon is a loud mouthed idiot, but he’s somehow spawned some cool companies
This could be handy for low powered devices with tools that you only use on occasion, particularly automated stuff
