Factorio enjoyer here. It’s a lot easier for me to keep my bases organized in Factorio on account of it being grid based. Satisfactory has none of that and as a result lends itself to much, much worse, 3D multi-story spaghetti.

Some people like that, some don’t. It is however a lot easier to get by with spaghetti in Satisfactory, because you can do multiple stories of crap and criss-cross and intersect your belts without issue. But if you’re a neat freak it’s difficult.

My other buddy who is a Factorio enjoyer put damn near a thousand hours into Satisfactory when he discovered it, I put maybe 20 and haven’t been back yet. But it’s a good game. It’s a titan of its genre for a good reason.

You have to put down concrete foundations. Once you learn that in satisfactory you don’t use natural terrain if you want things neat, it’s an anti spaghetto game changer.

      PAVE EVERYTHING

      GO VERTICAL

Factorio is wonderful as well. But if your post is why you avoided satisfactory I urge you to give it another shot. Most important resource to scale early is concrete. Also you want to sink excess materials for some really good QoL parts at the awesome shop.
