Google tried to overturn a landmark Munich ruling on AI search liability by appealing, then quietly settled. The strategy isn't working. The Aachen Regional Court just applied the exact same reasoning in a new case where Google's AI falsely attributed criminal offenses to a doctor that actually involved someone else. A consistent legal view is forming across German courts, and it treats Google's AI answers as the company's own content.
>A European court thinks it has power over a US company
I love the little show that European countries put on for their gullible population. They think they’re important 🤣 🤣 🤣
More like: a German court rightly assumes it has power over what services are legal to be offered in Germany. By a company that employs 3000 people in Germany. Do you really think tech companies don’t have to abide national laws? How naive can you be?
Especially since the EU has already repeatedly wielded power over US companies. It’s pretty nice having alternative app stores on iOS such as AltStore PAL, Aptoide, and Skich. Only available in the EU, of course, where Apple had to cave.
But I guess OP lives in fantasy land lol.
The AI can be made illegal in EU and Google knows it.
EU is an important market for Google, they can’t ignore it.
Gods how I wish American tech companies would ignore the EU and leave us the fuck alone.
