Find a hobby or even many hobbies! its very important to stay busy and also connected to others or you’ll fall into depression. I’ve seen it happen. Volunteer somewhere where you interact with others. I say this as someone who’s been out of work 5 years and took the “bad” path to depression and watched many retires wither do to lack human connection and over all lethargic tendencies

Use or lose it is very real for anything humans do…

So get into exercise, get into FOSS, interact with people!

well i’m getting out of FOSS due to AI and contributions with it. I don’t want to touch code anymore.

Instead this past year I got REALLY into retro computing. buying old PCs and Macs and stuff from the 80s and 90s and fixing them up. So I think i’m good on the hobby front. modern computing and coding? no, i’m done. I don’t want to write another line of code ever again. but the hardware? fixing motherboards and stuff? yeah that’s fun.
