That is absolutely egregious. 200GB game with a 45GB update? You’d be lucky to see me installing a game that’s around 20-30GB max anymore because I consider that to be the most acceptable amount of bloat for a game anymore.

Probably. Though it also doesn’t help with how old it is considering I can do fine enough on city skylines.

I absolutely suck at it, but I started a save on SimCity 3000. I have a lot of learning to do because my city is 100% dying, so I should probably run through the tutorial…
I have also been doing very minor chip damage on completing Gemcraft: Chasing Shadows. I’m far enough along it takes a long time for me to beat any levels. And probably even longer when I finally am able to beat the 200+ wave level.
I also discovered that Portal is now 7.63GB in size currently, after buying The Orange Box for $3.99 and wanting to check out a mod I found for Portal that I didn’t realize wasn’t released yet. Don’t know how big the game originally was on launch, but now it’s nearing the 11.88 GB size of Portal 2, which I find insane.
I also kept failing at Zuma Deluxe due to bad luck and skill issues on my end.

I cannot recall any specific programs besides a game called Feudal Tactics, but I swear I’ve seen software while looking through EasyFlatpak that surprised me.

The only reason I had my bluray player connected to the internet was because the yahoo who dropped it off at the thrift store didn’t bother signing out of their pandora account, so I could listen to ad free music. Otherwise I would never connect to the internet since all the old applications ( including a blockbuster app of all things ) probably wouldn’t even work.
Knowing this could happen, I will definitely be sure to completely disconnect from the internet the next time I turn that thing on since last time I tried using pandora it wasn’t working.

Just the other day I figured out the Plants vs Zombie fangame has not only a community server ( discord, sadly ), but they also have a demo out! I had an old build using an old engine that has more levels, but I downloaded and played the new demo and it’s amazing so far. Officially called 植物大的僵尸: Universe ( Plants vs Zombies: Universe in English ).
Totally looking forward to the games completion ( assuming neither EA or Talkweb don’t destroy it ) because it’s a very ambitious project trying to take content from, if I remember correctly, pvz1 international, China’s exclusive pvz1 journey to the west edition, 2 international, pvz2 Chinese edition, Online, and the card game ( not 100% sure if I’m right on that one being added ) and rolling it into a single game.
Demo currently gives you Emperor’s Mausoleum from Online and Ancient Egypt (the pvz Online version), with just base levels for now. Minigame side levels, which are present in the old build I have, aren’t currently available in the latest demo they have linked in their discord. As a big enough fan of the non spin-off titles, this makes me very gitty.
Otherwise, more dungeon clawler and that’s about all for non-mobile games. I did try modding Sonic Lost Worlds on PC, but I can’t with my setup.

Way too much Dungeon Clawler on my Steam Deck. I think that and a little bit of Baba Is You are mostly the only non-mobile games I’ve really been playing over the past week.
Depends on the game. I’m still a very long ways away from completing it, so please no spoilers, but Sonic Frontiers? They added enough to the open world that it’s fun to run around and do side stuff in. Pokemon Violet? The charm wore out quick enough, making the region feel way too empty compared to most other gens, so no. No clue on the DLC, but I imagine they’re similarly as empty and devoid of NPCs as well. Games like VoxeLibre on Luanti? Wouldn’t want it any other way!

Just got a legit copy of Dungeon Clawler and installed it on my deck and it’s definitely harder than the old version on my laptop. Also, I save scummed the heck out of Dokopon Kingdom on Dolphin over the weekend, until the point the CPU turned evil and finally caught up to me and caused my first death.
I have also been enjoying Sonic Lost Worlds on 3DS (first playthrough), while also having tried a couple levels on PC and I don’t know whether it’s my PC or what, but it’s pretty much the only game I could recommend the console version over the PC version despite absolutely HATING the special stages because of how trash the motion controls and movements are in my opinion.

The horrors of having your TV record Gigli!

Tried getting the gyro on my Steam Deck to work with Dolphin, but no such luck. So I’m back to playing Pokemon Rejuvenation. I think the only other games I have played recently are Plants vs Zombies: Reflourished, Backpack Hero, and Fire Emblem Heroes.
Sometime in maybe 2021-22 I messed up something on a shitty laptop of mine at the time. Changed something on win10 and was trying to fix it to get admin privileges back on the single account on there. Some website recommended flashing Ubuntu onto a thumb drive and entering some commands on the live boot. Didn’t work out and I didn’t wanna go through with a fresh win10 install for close to, if not, $100 for everything. Ended up with Ubuntu 20.04 installed because I wanted to use that laptop.
I’ve since tried many and currently have MX on a better laptop. At some point I’m gonna try to either find something new I can learn so that way by October I can make my desktop have a priority Linux boot with an internet disconnected win10 partition, or just go with Mint or MX. Definitely got a small list of distros I might wanna try, so we’ll see.

The whole From 104GB thing just tells me to stick with the original. Any game more than 20GB and it ain’t being installed on anything I own.
Either way, no surprise considering how big of a game this is, even if it is a remaster of a beloved classic so old that children have grown up only knowing every version of Skyrim released on everything from consoles to your mom’s smart vibrator.

So far, as a more casual user, using the preconfigured Plasma on MX, I have had only minor grievances that truly effect me and only somehow only broke it maybe 1-2 times.

If they do, that makes it 300x easier for me to decide who never to buy from again.

Way too much Pokemon Rejuvenation. Basically the overwhelming majority of what I’ve been playing that isn’t PVZ Reflourished and fire emblem heroes on my phone on the bus too and from college.

I wish all members of ACE a very hacked servers filled with pirates content clogging them every moment possible.

The hilarious thing is you know that Rickey Rats or HBO Minimal or Netflops wouldn’t agree to getting rid of IP laws… unless it doesn’t apply to them and their IP.
A lot. Though it’s hard to put a price on some things because they’re software for discontinued products ( old game consoles, Amiga software, etcetera ) and aren’t sold as they were, even if some of them are still sold for other platforms.
