Big fan of SBC gaming, open source engine recreations/source ports, gaming in general, alternative operating systems, and all things modding.
Trying to post and comment often in an effort to add to Lemmy’s growth.
How does this compare to other music streaming services these days?
I feel like it’s going to be a challenge to find a definition of malicious most people agree on.
Someone might think it’s fine to make nudes of Captain Marvel for example because she’s a character. They don’t really care about the Brie Larson aspect.
I suppose there is the option to eliminate any kind of name based suggestions.
I recall some people using Akinator to find pornstars they might be interested so you might be onto something.
Am I the only one who finds this so weird when we talk about LLMs? If someone makes a bot that resembles some specific person, that person’s rights aren’t really violated, and since they’re all fictional content, it is very hard to break actual laws through its content. At that point we would have to also ban people’s weird fan fiction, no?
Not arguing about whatever they want or don’t want on their platform, but the legal & alleged moral questions / arguments always weird me out a bit, because there’s no one actually getting hurt in any sort of way by weirdos having weird chats with computers.
I could see some people making the argument that it could be considered defamatory especially in cases where it is being peddled as real. Politicians might even try to link it in with revenge porn or other non-consensual pornography laws.
It would sure get messy in a hurry though. Imagine someone trying to make lewd photos of Tomb Raider’s Laura Croft for example and accidentally generates images resembling Alicia Vikander or Angelina Jolie from the Tomb Raider movie.
To find very specific content?
“We want to ensure that people have maximum control to the extent that it doesn’t violate the law or other peoples’ rights,” Joanne Jang, a member of the product team at OpenAI, told NPR. “There are creative cases in which content involving sexuality or nudity is important to our users.”
The other problem in my mind is the fallibility of current safeguards. OpenAI and rivals have been refining their filtering and moderation tools for years. But users constantly discover workarounds that enable them to abuse the companies’ AI models, apps and platforms.
Some highlights from the article.
It seems like AI porn is inevitable and OpenAI has safeguards in mind for exploitative content so it doesn’t seem like a horrendous idea.
Are you telling me all the podcasters I listen to didn’t naturally have the same experience with HelloFresh?
I think so. Installing Linux was a hurdle for a lot of people but having it by default on the Steam Deck was a bit of a game changer. Installing Windows on it versus figuring out how to use something Lutris probably takes a similar amount of effort for average casual user.
I feel like it also helps that Windows isn’t very controller friendly, in my experience, and an increasing amount of people are looking for that for couch gaming and viewing media.
Mostly powering off my system when I shouldn’t have. I believe one time I began the process to format a drive I didn’t mean to and when I saw the process had started I pushed the power button and just made things worse. The other times were when I was updating.
This all happened when I first started using Linux.
It makes sense. Adding Reddit to my online searches has been my “life hack” for years now. If only Reddit wasn’t becoming annoying as fuck with things like their new UI, blocking third party apps, and finally blocking off VPN users.

What was that?
That’s a neat approach. I suppose I have seen it done to a lesser extent with YouTubers doing Mystery Science Theater style commentary now that I think about it.
In Wizard People, Dear Reader, Neely’s writing ranges from simple childish mockery, to criticism of the acting and set design, to awkward metaphors, to over-dramatic philosophical speeches. Harry himself is repeatedly referred to as a god, references are made to the “stockpiles of nuclear-level energy” that are his powers, and so on. At one point, Harry calls himself a “beautiful animal” and a “destroyer of worlds”. He also repeatedly affirms that he is “Harry fucking Potter”. Numerous references are made to characters taking out unseen flasks or drinking alcohol, and Harry is mentioned as being “drunk every day before noon.”
That is definitely an interesting one.
The CDs must be played simultaneously with a DVD of the first Harry Potter film, preferably the North American DVD, muted or at low volume.
I thought it was just going to be a mash up of clips. Can you really just replace the audio track with it?
This also reminded me. I think I have a copy of the Harry Potter with guns edit Harry Potter and the Deadly Weapons around somewhere.
I feel like the closest I’ve seen to this is porn parodies that occasionally have identical file names.
It is TO.
I am indifferent towards audio quality and don’t mind missing out on a few Spotify-exclusive songs so if it is using YouTube MP3s that’s fine with me.
Is what it says in the text below my post. A lot of apps out there that download Spotify playlists pair songs with ones on Youtube to download them for simplicity. Similarly some people migrate those playlists to Deezer and download them.
From my understanding it comes down to Spotify’s DRM being a little harder to bypass.
latam
Is this an abbreviation of Latin American?
I was considering it. I’ve had the occasional issue with Spotiflyer crashing when multiple playlists are queued for download so I was considering what else is available; I wasn’t sure if SoundBound would have the same issues.
Have you tried out SoundBound? Would you recommend it? Based off of the screenshots it seems pretty similar to Spotiflyer.
Do you mean the accounts.json file that contains the following?
{“accounts”: [{“entitlement”: {“canPlayMinecraft”: true,“ownsMinecraft”: true},“type”: “Offline”}],“formatVersion”: 3}
If so, I used it a couple days ago with a portable Windows setup of Prism Launcher and it worked fine for me.
I wonder how this will work with local accounts
