I kinda feel like Microsoft already knows about the recognized pattern of every other OS release being considered a success. That being said, I’d bet $1 they’re already spending more in the development of Windows 12 v 11.

Federating with an entity that is publicly traded and has shareholders to answer to surely has a goal of endless profit growth - that’s the nature of capitalism. The current spirit of the fediverse is one not driven by profits. What we have now will very likely change into something that doesn’t resemble our current experience once it’s engulfed by Meta.

I get random messages on LinkedIn from people that want to interview me weekly, and my team has also seen some voluntary turnover. I’m not sure that I believe the article.
If I were laid off with the condition of “hey, we can’t afford you right now but we want to bring you back when we can…” and I earn more at one of those places, I’ll go back. Fuck it.

I’d like to see something about that as well.
I remember having an ASUS board for about 6 months back in the mid 2000’s before it blew up. Talked to some people back then and it was a relatively common experience. I’m not sure how ASUS has been doing well as a company for the past 20 years, when it seems like all their stuff blows up.
I’ve been MSI all the way since then and it’s worked out swimmingly.
If you’re into the feeling of getting punched or stabbed, why not try just getting into a street fight? You will save money, and it would be super realistic.
32·1 year agoI think you’re going to have a bad time. You could always just dual boot Linux and Windows; use Windows when you need to use good software.
