Not if more investors keep throwing more money at it. It only stops when investors are no longer willing to fund continued expenses and they are unable to fund it themselves. At which point if they are spending a lot more than they are earning which appears to be the case currently, they would have to increase income and/or decrease expenses. So expect more and more push to become profitable as investor money becomes harder to find.
It doesn’t matter if it works, if investors think it does that is enough for them to throw money at it.
No, I reject consumerism and I am happier for it.
Pop pop pop!
I’ll be fine, my mortgage is fixed for 4 more years before any damage it causes to the economy can seriously effect me. That is a problem for me in 4 years time, not me today.
Travel benefits and yet can’t be used when travelling?
Pull in close and fire grapeshot broadside!
CEX in the UK do 5 year warranties on used hardware. Realistically you would probably just get a voucher rather than cash if it failed but you could then buy another replacement at least.
I’ll still have tech but my spec requirements will decrease based on price. If that means I am compiling CDDA on a 2008 pentium laptop then so be it!
I would rather somewhat more modern and more energy efficient hardware, but when costs of hardware are so high then the energy costs of old hardware matter less.
I live in the UK and used the UK web version, it has nothing. Maybe because I have almost entirely stopped using Amazon?
Maybe its regional. UK here and any time I see a sign saying a card isn’t accepted it’s always AMEX. By far more common in smaller shops where the fees are going to be more significant to them. Big chains don’t care.
A lot of places here refuse AMEX because of their fees. Oh look at all the benefits they provide, like barely being able to spend money anywhere!
Only in the US. EU has teeth and occasionally uses them.
Oh it may well be true, doesn’t mean they will succeed.
Depends on CPU, would love to have access to hardware like this to play with to see what it runs. But I don’t want to buy it without trying it first.
4GB should be plenty for any general computing. I used to run Minecraft servers on under 1GB of system memory for an entire school classroom. It worked pretty well back then too.
If AI is so good they should try asking it that. See where that ends up.
They will just close up shop or lock things down.
Don’t steal their products. Reject them entirely. Invite friends over and cook at home instead.
The average persons data is. I wonder what mine is worth. Surely it just says “yeah they are never going to willingly buy your product, target friends who will apply social pressure instead … Oh, they are just happy sitting there without ordering anything”
They did this before, its just that they are using “AI” now. Probably not an LLM but it would be funny if it is.
But how will AI agents access the internet without having ID?
