Now I’ve only had to use Twitter sparingly since Musk took it over, but before he took it over I wasn’t getting harassed or death threats from randoms for merely posting a picture. Site is beyond disgusting and disrepair at this point. Nazi content is also getting pushed to the fore. Something is definitely up since he took over and fucked with the algorithm and other things.
They’ve gone and Dugg themselves a whole that will never come out of while Musk is there.
Better real time engagement. Think of it like your own personal news ticker or curated radio station with updates. I used it to get updates from sporting events when I didn’t necessarily have access to a radio/tv and couldn’t watch/ listen to a game, etc. because I was indisposed, at a function, movie, etc.I had a whole host of journalists, personalities, and people that would basically/ practically give me play by play and keep me informed of what was going on. It was actually truly great. Twitter isn’t even close to what it once was.
Edit: wanted to add that you could think of Facebook as the modern rolodex at the time, still actually, while Twitter is/was more suitable for more real time engagement. Reddit sort of became the substitute for that up until they disastrously decided to shut down 3rd party apps. Now the site/subreddits are getting garbage content and it’s a ghost town. Most subreddits I was on are barely getting anything orany posts anymore. Lemmy is definitely filling the void. I mean, at least it has usable apps.
A couple people I know dumped their teslas because they didn’t want to support the nazi.
You forgot one major thing: the porn has left in droves.
Even the porn is leaving. Multiple porn users/ accounts have stopped posting as well. I have an alt on Twitter just for porn and that has begun to dry up. You can see when the last time they logged on/ tweeted and it’s been weeks. It really isn’t hard to see that Twitter is a sinking ship.
They have too many garbage shows and too much shitty content. There are way more things I hated than I can say I liked. Secret invasion, book of boba fett, obi wan - all terrible, etc.

I’m totally on board them getting investigated for antitrust and monopolistic practices. Google has really turned to shit the last 4-5 years.
I’m sorry but taxis were never as bad as Uber. Taxis had actual rules and regulations that they would abide by. I never saw a taxi driver run an endless shift like they would as an uber driver that jeopardizes the health/safety of the driver/passenger. Also, taxis actually followed proper maintenance of their vehicle. I’ve seen one too many uber’s that looked like the driver didn’t give a shit.
Surge pricing wasn’t a thing until uber because taxis actually stuck to a standard pricing; you knew what to expect. Uber was an answer to a problem that was already solved long ago.
It doesn’t suck and just works. Really well customizable and adblocking/ security is better than what chrome has turned into. Chrome used to be decent but is garbage now. I’d rather use edge before chrome.
It would be hilarious if they hit their AP database and removed all the people that were unfairly entered because they “were too good.”

I believe he’s only good at wasting money and destroying livelihoods. With 200 billion he should’ve fucked off somewhere as he’s clearly not useful for anything. Even Zuckerberg and Bezos have their value.
He could’ve spent money building his own Twitter and leave us be but instead he had to go and waste 44+billion to cause harm and damage and destroy a company with employees making a living. It goes without saying he is just such a shit, vile and evil person.
