Cool. I’ve already got more books than I’ll be able to finish before I die. Might as well get back into reading. Fuck those bastards.

Oh it’s gonna be cranky.
My Surface Pro 4 was getting long in the tooth. My best friend, who uses Arch btw, kept nagging me about switching until he gave me his old laptop when he upgraded. Soon after that, my cat knocked over a beer into it and killed it. So I bought a Framework 13" and put PopOS on it, and also got a Steam Deck. I’m all in on Linux now, except for an old desktop that gets rarely used.
And now I keep my beer on the floor.
DRM = copy protection
I didn’t say new store, I said vintage. If you don’t have one, I’d be surprised. There’s gonna be one somewheres nearby.
As for aging media, you’re right about that. Best make sure we reform copyright law soon. They don’t deserve to gatekeep the entire world’s cultural history.
When I think small town, I’m thinking a couple hundred people. I’ve never seen such stores there. Medium is a few thousand. They usually have one.
The nice thing is that there are millions of discs and players still out there. For anyone who prefers physical media and avoids streaming (this guy!) there is no shortage. Prices could stand to come down. But even if they do quit making them, there are lifetimes worth of vintage media, and newer isn’t always better.
Really? Because used media stores are booming all over the place. Stores that sell new and used records alongside CDs, Movies, and video games seem to be in every mid size town I pass through.
Sounds like a job for Flipper Zero.
The only angle I think looks cool is the one on the pic.
I travel. My Internet is off until I activate my hotspot. Whatever MS is doing, it ain’t worth it to me. I went all in on Linux (I use PopOS btw) a couple years ago.
Corpo apps are like
“Do you love me? Rate 5 stars?”
No I don’t love you. How about zero stars for sexual harassment? Do I need to talk to HR?
It sounds… impossible to defeat this darker side of human nature, in order to grow into a mature species worthy of restoring and responsibly maintaining this garden planet.
Corporations should be outlawed from owning houses and land as well. Maybe they can own the building, but they must be forced to rent the land from Us.
Except it’s not like a plane because we can stop using specific websites whenever we like, and build our own websites to whittle away at their hegemony.
Honestly, there is cheap stuff out there to do besides watch screens so much. Draw, write, cook, carve, read, walk. It’s better for the mind all around. Absolutely, go pirate some shows. But taking a step back from the content stream hurts them too.
No executive deserves the kind of money and power he is demanding. The workers deserve it. Executive positions must become democratically elected from within the workforce, exclusively, modestly compensated, with checks and balances, for limited terms representing the company workforce.
This is our world he’s fucking with.
Well, you’ve got Big Bend and Palo Duro. Where’s the 3rd beautiful place?
Can’t believe I respected that guy for so long.
“Oh no! Someone is generating interest in our game!”
I just started with PopOS a couple years ago. I’m not a power user. I’ve got one of those crappy travel printers. I think it’s Canon? I forget. It worked just fine for me.
