Sadly, Portal64 has come to an end after cease & desist letters were issued to James. Still, it was a fantastic series and he is a great presenter, he makes the technical challenges he faces so Interesting to follow.

I think they might have used AGI to mean “AI Generated Images” which I’ve seen used in a few places, not know that AGI is already a term in the AI lexicon.

Been doing this for years, but if too much of a hack for you, NewPipe also supports background video, and downloading video, or just the audio, which is great if you have a lot of long form audio-focused channels like music reviews, videoessay content, etc.

I hate to break it to you but you don’t really “own” the games on steam either. You have a license agreement with valve which they can revoke at any time, and you lose access to the games you paid for.

I’d love to find something like this for the SamsungOS tvs, or at least a locally hosted alternative adblocker. I get 3-4 ads per 10 minute video now and it’s endlessly frustrating.
