“Select the URL that answers the question most appropriately”
You have to visit a different search engine. And while the tab is open it appears in the list of selectable search engines. At least that is how I set up searxng as my default se.
Makes sense, thank you
Google Cloud counts about 60% of the world’s 1,000 biggest companies and 90% of generative AI unicorns as its customers
What exactly are generative AI unicorns?
I bet what they all have in common is that they all used advertising in order to get to their position.
What kagi can’t fix is that most forums nowadays don’t exist anymore and moved over to discord which is also a big reason for worse search results.
For example I had a technical problem with a device of mine, searched for maybe half an hour on Google until I joined a related Discord. Searching there in the support channel and I found the fix for my problem. Would Discord not exist and all the content be queryable by Google I would have found my answer within seconds.
Lmao blocking someone for criticism? Kinda cringe if you ask me.
That’s illegal in Germany though, right? AFAIK all ads must be disclosed as such.
Never heard of LibreWolf but they say on their website that features like DRM are disabled, what does that mean if I want to view DRM content in my browser? I may be confused but currently with Firefox I already have problems with DRM sometimes. For example on Dell’s website I had difficulties viewing product videos on there, will they simply not play on LibreWolf or how does that work?
Most if not all Minecraft servers aren’t related to Microsoft. There are lots of smaller servers with 5-20 regular players and of course there are few with hundreds or thousands of players, of which some might be affiliated with M$ but I don’t know.
Some services only accept whitelisted domains for accounts sadly.
The ECHR is separate to the EU.
Yeah I know but what about Lemmy instances?
Hm but don’t you automatically own the stuff you create yourself, as long as you don’t consent to giving it away? I don’t know the terms and conditions of my Lemmy instance though.
Aww man, why did I not think of doing that!?
What’s the actual argument behind banning TikTok though? IMO it’s just so that US firms remain the monopoly in the social media market.
But that is exactly how TikTok is supposed to work no? They condition the user to swipe until they see what they want. In the beginning you get great content and are conditioned to like the swipe. But after a while more random shit gets introduced and you end up “searching” for the content you want with many little distractions here and there. At least that’s how I was told it to be from friends.
Human brains aren’t 1 bit models. Far from it actually, I am not an expert though but I know that neurons in the brain encode different signal strengths in their firing frequency.
