I think that’s right. Maybe the release profile needs to be applied to the quality? I’ll see if I can open my configs up and find where it applies.

I think in quality profiles you can set up blockwords. I did that to block Dolby vision “DoVi” releases as I couldn’t get them to play reliably.

Some pcie cards can add a buuunch more sata ports. There are also some m.2 cards that can do this.

Jellyfin or Plex are probably your best choices. I believe you could even run the Plex server on your Nvidia Shield, though it might struggle to transcode 4k video I’m not sure.

I agree with what you’re saying entirely about hardcore CPU overclocking. The concern is, will AMD be fair and discerning if I have a CCU failure and I overclocked by 100MHz with adequate cooling? How about if my USB controller fails? Will they hear me out if I make a warranty claim? We are putting a lot of trust in a company, and I agree that on without these fuses they’re placing a lot of trust in us.

Yes windows does but I reach for my work Mac when I need to scan because Apple did it much better than Microsoft in this case. It’s much more reliable.

There are scanner drivers that allow units to work with the built in scanner app. My brother printer did that. No special app need for printing or scanning.

I try not to express or show it though. Only good vibes to bring everyone over to Firefox.
