Switched from w10 to arch on my home, mostly gaming, pc. It feels nice, and i like their rolling update model. But i had s lot of experience with Ubuntu before, currently have it on my working laptop

would disagree. there are plenty of casual user friendly distros, like ubuntu or bazzite. there are immutable distros

i personally work on linux and like linux but used windows for gaming at home. switched this year after realising all the games are play run fine on linux

i use Arch + Gnome on Wayland. before it was Ubuntu + Gnome. all fine, quite modern games like Elden Ring, Expedition 33, and Street Fighter 6

I installed some library from sources on my working laptop, and it stopped booting lol. Had to change my laptop for the newer Thinkpad, because you cannot insert into working devices any flash drives to boot from and fix the system. It hasn’t cost me anything, but was pretty funny
