Fair point, but out of the box KDE has pretty sane defaults these days. It’s a very inoffensive desktop.
I have just a couple customizations that I do immediately on a fresh install, but it certainly wouldn’t kill me to use it as it comes.
EndeavourOS plus Plasma 6.
I don’t think I’ll ever use a distro that isn’t arch based again, and you can have KDE plasma when you pry it from my cold, dead hands. :)


EndeavourOS is very close to being vanilla arch with sane defaults. I run it on multiple machines and it’s rock solid.
Not only do I miss nothing from Windows, but also the decisions MS has made each and every year since I dumped them has only increased my conviction that I made the right move in doing so. Not one time have I read a MS/Windows headline and felt I was somehow missing out on anything I would ever want to be a part of.
You can definitely tell who read the article based on how people are commenting.
