I think they do provide torrents for the stuff they have available to download already. So we know what to do *wink*!
Ce să vă zic, mă, bine ați venit? bine ați venit, rău ați nimerit. La locu’ ăsta îi zice șerpărie, de la șerpii care umblă pe-aicea. Dracu’ știe cum au ajuns…

Having the government provide email as a public communication service sounds good in theory. However, this could also pose a privacy risk if your government turns rogue and authoritarian. If it is possible to also have this communication E2E encrypted in a way that is as frictionless as possible (no, PGP is not really that frictionless unless it’s built in), it would be great. However, we all know what is the general take of governments regarding E2E encryption, so I think I’ll pass this one.
You can find good stardicts of just about every dictionary on the internet if you look hard enough
I’m just amazed by this. Can you point me to some of the more common places where one could start? I could really use some new dictionaries 😁
@zaknenou be sure to ;) 👉👉
@zaknenou damn… I’m sorry!
@zaknenou try cobalt.tools
@incognito08 AI could be a direction in piracy too imo
@alyaza I hated this so much lmfao
War on drugs
War on terror
War on chat encryption
@Gamers_mate oh. I’m gonna pick Minecraft again then, and do just that, lol.
Wow, what do you think I do with games? Of course it’s recreational…
@Gamers_mate lol, reshared. Can the bees attack you if you attack them? That would make it even more cool.
@14th_cylon they’re using duckduckgo though.
@Pyflixia This one might be a very obscure thing, but back when I was in high school, I used to download music from a website called mp3ostrov.rucom (edit: it was .com, apparently). Of course, the website was in Russian and I couldn’t understand a damn thing, so I had to resort to the Chrome translation for it (Or I guided myself with the icons). But it had so much music on it, and it was really easy to get. And whatever I could not source from there, I downloaded from YouTube, but the downloader I used had too many ads.
@knokelmaat Not sure if it’s a certain category, but here are some that really made me so:
I’ll edit the list when I remember more.
@k110111 The Fediverse is more than just Mastodon. Don’t be shy of trying out other social networks as well, as they have a pretty good compatibility with Mastodon.
I just wanted to get rid of Facebook. So, I don’t know what did I think about, but I chose Friendica. From here I managed to follow many of the pages that I was following there, over on Mastodon.
News pages have the biggest share in the accounts that I follow, but I also found other accounts, such as @godpod or @DarthPutinKGB
@Obi /c/s is not long (albeit a bit complicated to write, on phone at least) and it could easily be expanded verbally, so you know that /c/s = communities
.
On Friendica, everything that is not a person or a page is displayed as a group. As a Facebook alternative, it does make sense, but for you in the Lemmy world I imagine it would sound a bit bland. 😁
Well, you can easily tell if an envelope has been tampered with. For email, on the other hand, it’s more difficult for the average folk. And again, Gmail is also sharing information with the government (okay, it’s mostly the US government, but still).
Imo, we need more providers like Proton, Tuta, Mailbox dot org etc. and probably more education into how one could protect their data and so on.
