Yes. It gets donations from any cryptocurrency and sends it to our Ethereum account. Much easier than multiple currencies. Also I can track crypto donations only in one wallet, which is here: https://etherscan.io/address/0x4e4af5dc2f86235ac496542c2a1c00f3c4de40c6
We tried Open Collective Europe but got rejected. I would really like to use Open Collective because of its transparency.

You are right. I’m not familiar with these sites too and discussing with other admins. For example @MikeyMongol@lemmynsfw.com has experience in this area, hes helping a lot. We’ll find a trustable platform hopefully. Onlyfans, Fansly are known, trusted platforms but they mostly focused on “fan” stuff so I’m not sure.

Images are transcoded but thats not the problem. The problem is lemmy literally downloading every remote posts thumbnails to our archive. There is no option to opt out.
