Can I follow tutorials or guides made for Adobe products and apply them directly to the recent rebuilds of Adobe products “ArtCraft”, or are there important differences between the two that tutorials for Adobe aren’t useful?
It looks like it’s all about AI slop, so I don’t think you’re meant to do much of anything with it, really? It’s supposed to do shit on its own.
I think this probably belongs more in an open source community. But on the other hand I 100% support the effort to make open source clones of Adobe products, because they will no doubt try to call it piracy, the rent seeking bastards.
Based on what I’ve seen so far, it’ll do like 90 percent of what most Photoshop users actually need in terms of basic functions. Buts it’s still very alpha right now. And there will no doubt still be some way to go for complete feature parity. The nice part for me is that this satisfies a longstanding bugbear of not being able to use Adobe products on Linux. Not that I would have anyway, but for a lot of folks this is gonna be a huge deal.
Yes FOSS is the way Adobe wants you to keep paying subscription.
I haven’t looked into it yet, but I’d imagine they’d be close enough. The most important thing to learn is the concepts, most creative software is very similar in functionality now.
